I don’t know who said this, but “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the God First Family Second Then Baylor Bears Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this side of the oppressor.” I wish it didn’t have to be like this, but lgbtq people are becoming increasingly unsafe, and unfortunately, indifference isn’t enough anymore. Edit: Elie Wiesel’s speech “the perils of indifference” makes some great points about this. He talks about antisemitism, being a Jewish holocaust survivor, but it is very applicable This man refuses to enthusiastically participate in an event that celebrates a lifestyle he doesn’t participate in. LGBTQ people are not becoming increasingly unsafe. Globally crime statistics have been going down for as long as you’ve been alive. Right now in most western countries beyond laws for violent hate crimes, it’s becoming illegal just to make fun of people for these characteristics. Most large corporations, the government and the general populace have never been so enthusiastically in support of LGBTQ people. The news whipping people into hysteria about how unsafe they are doesn’t actually make them unsafe. Go outside and touch grass.

You have you views on each thing and if you don’t care, you don’t care. That’s that.
