Unless you’re way north of the Gnomes 4th Of July 2022 Women Girls American Flag Stars T-Shirt also I will do this notch, New Hampshire isn’t rural. It is compared to Massachusetts, but not like most of the country. Everything is just too close, so you can play at being rural but are an hour from a hospital or doctors, stores, culture, etc. Rural America is not like that. Rural America is no retail but a Dollar General and Walmart within an hour, a couple of doctors it takes six months to see and a hospital six hours away that is probably going bankrupt and closing this year. If WFH is efficient, why hire Americans to work from home when we can hire smart, educated people in other countries for $1/hr? Developer working from my basement in Nebraska here. I’m so happy I get to vote democrat in a Republican state. I used to live in CA and I knew which way the votes going to anyway, this I feel like I’m actually making a difference

I’ve been all around NC, GA, VA, AL and grew up in Los Angeles/DC. I’ve noticed that cities have a wealth of fantastic food But the Gnomes 4th Of July 2022 Women Girls American Flag Stars T-Shirt also I will do this rural parts have a wealth of ONE kind of fantastic food. So yeah if I want some great southern bbq, I’ll eat it at NC and LA but I’m not gonna find great sushi restaurants for a reasonable price in NC but I will in LA Just left Salem. Not very rural I know. But it had some of the best craft beers I’ve had in a while. Great food too. I want to be positive but infrastructure, namely stable high speed internet, simply doesn’t exist in many of those rural areas, making remote work nearly impossible. For me it’s availability of good internet driving me to a city. The city near me has symmetric gig FTTH, and I’m looking to move into their coverage range. If that wasn’t there I’d be looking for a bit further out into the country. For reference, I lived in a town called Dillsburg, PA. Our options for food were a zillion chain options or generic diners. That was just there in the town. Now, I live in Phoenix. I can get almost any cuisine. I also don’t need to rely on a car in the city. I have one to make life easier but in Dillsburg, my house was 8 miles away from the grocery store. There are a lot of inherent advantages to living in a city vs rural. No commuting also means less traffic in general, meaning rush hour would be lessened or even completely gone depending on the area
