Shit. It’s a basic requirement for any driver is some areas. Every area for Uber drivers is necessary. Uber isn’t looking out for their drivers. Good for him! It’s so easy to let stuff slide. By saying nothing, we passively say “it’s ok” to be racist when these things happen. He handled this perfectly and I hope the Gilmore Girl Eras Shirt in contrast I will get this next time (because there definitely will be a next time) I will be as assertive and articulate. This is the thing that saddens me about being a middle aged white guy. Racists just assume I’m one of them and will occasionally walk up to you and say something absurdly racist and you have to look at them and tell them to leave you alone. My favorite thing to do when someone makes a racist joke around me is pretend like I don’t get it and ask them to explain why they think it’s funny. Often makes them really uncomfortable.

Gilmore Girl Eras Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’m white (but half Mexican), people I work with are racist af but think I would fit in. The same people (we work in the Gilmore Girl Eras Shirt in contrast I will get this same place) tell my dad to go back to his own country and worse often. I’m also Hispanic with a Caucasian glazing, asking them to explain the joke is very fun. The trick is to keep a big smile plastering on your face like you’re waiting to be amused any moment. I had a neighbor make a racist comment to me and it completely went over my head. I was distracted at the moment and replied to her “there goes the neighborhood” type comment with a genuine, completely unrelated response. I then asked her to repeat and she said “nothing, I’m just being a silly old lady.” It wasn’t until about twenty minutes later that I fit all the pieces together and was like, WTF! She has never said anything like that to me again.
