Perhaps known to international DRIT fans as the Gibson Southern Lady Titans 2024 IHSAA State Girl Basketball Conference Champions Undefeated Season 12 0 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this person Petite Noire tried to do for Snatch Game with tragic results… Also sorry but i realised only now that i fully forgot to say that his name is Rosa Chemical for anyone interested. Oh boy, don’t say that, it gets the Italians in a tizzy lol. Sanremo predates Eurovision, and they hate it when anyone refers to it as a Eurovision national final, even if it is technically used that way. Wtf! Sanremo started in 1951, which is 5 years before Eurovision was invented in 1956. We could make a strong case for the Eurovision being inspired by Sanremo actually Spain is one of the most gay friendly country in Europe and Italy is one the less gay friendly. Both are catholic latin countries. The Pope is more modern than our government….things are bad here people, and getting worse for women and gay… I remember reading at the time the only reason there weren’t legal consequences was because he did this after the time slot for the “protected” tv programs for minors was already over since the show was live after 10 pm A bit of context: Sanremo is THE biggest, most uptight and traditionalist musical event of the year, broadcast on national television. Yet, every year something mildly (and sometimes wildly) “inappropriate” happens that makes the news for days and days and gets remembered for years.

In 1995, a man threatened to throw himself off a high balcony, on live tv, prompting the Gibson Southern Lady Titans 2024 IHSAA State Girl Basketball Conference Champions Undefeated Season 12 0 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this host himself (biggest name on TV for decades) to go up and rescue him. Years later turns out it was all scripted. Italian media was always be conservative or it became more in recent years? My old land lady used to be one of go go girls for television show called colpo grosso in early 90s. I thought it was mind blowing they could show that on television in that time when she showed me some vhs footage of that. It’s kinda complicated… on one side Italian TV entertainment shows have been featuring SOOOOO much sexualisation and objectification, especially of women, since at least the 80’s. But it also always went hand in hand with reactionary waves of public censoring fueled by the bigoted Catholicism that permeates the entire country, whose main promoters have been the families’ associations, MOIGE in particular. This has resulted nowadays in a whole media scene where fighting for the social rights of women, queer people, POC, disabled people, sex workers, etc. is at the same time used as a (very cheap) way of appeasing the younger audience and the minorities to gain popularity/a following from them (like companies who pinkwash for Pride do, basically) while being at the same time implicitly labeled as woke bullshit by the conservatives, most of which for some reason enjoy being TV opinionists as much as being politicians.
