School nurses are some of the Georgia Tech vs. UCF 2023 Gasparilla Bowl shirt and by the same token and worst, least educated, idiotic people I’ve had the displeasure of having to deal with. They seem to have no fucking clue what they are doing, yet they are the healthcare advocate for thousands of kids. I just got bit by one maybe two months ago, it just stopped burning last week. Mine def hurt but no red line lol Yeah it was like 2 weeks of non stop burning, then it was weird like randomly it would get hot, swell and start burning again. It was super weird and I don’t ever want to experience it again I think back and am surprised I was never bitten by a black widow. Me and my older brother, being the stupid little kids we were, always flipped over medium sized rocks to see if we could find a black widow. Was never told how dangerous they were, we just liked the cool red “dot” it had.

Flipping rocks to find them is pretty harmless, as they don’t like the Georgia Tech vs. UCF 2023 Gasparilla Bowl shirt and by the same token and bright lights of the sun and scurry to get back under cover. The real risk is reaching under a rock and grabbing on to one unknowingly, where it will bite in defense. In grade one my friend brought in a jar containing a black widow spider that him and his brother had caught. It didn’t even have a lid, he just put some Vaseline around the rim, so “it couldn’t get out”. I have never been admitted to an ER faster in my life than when I went in with what was apparently blood poisoning. Everyone on duty dropped literally everything to admit me; I swear they would have made a gunshot wound wait. Black Widow venom is not as deadly as people have been led to believe, only in the elderly and the very young. It’ll burn for a week and that’s about it.
