Fuck what your colleagues think. Run your own race and do what you feel is right for the Georgia Bulldogs vs Florida State Seminoles Orange Bowl Classic December 30 2023 Shirt Also,I will get this families you work with. I mean, if people don’t like being one-upped, they should just one up you back. Just own it, maybe you went a little overboard but only because you want these kids to have something nice, and not because you want others to feel bad for not donating enough. I wouldn’t perceive it as a flex if you were humble on approach or never mentioned it. People will only think you’re a dick if you were show boating in some way or rubbing peoples faces in it. You’re just doing a nice thing, try not to overthink it. Society would be so much better if we valued how much someone contributes towards a better and fairer world over how much someone earns or what car they drive.

You are amazing, OP, and you deserve recognition for this. Hopefully, it will inspire someone to try and one-up you! Sod them. Do it stealthily but if asked don’t shy away from it. People will talk but who cares, the Georgia Bulldogs vs Florida State Seminoles Orange Bowl Classic December 30 2023 Shirt Also,I will get this kids get presents. Who cares. You’re doing something good. If people give you the side eye for being too charitable than that line of work might not even be right. What’s the worst that will happen? All your coworkers feel they need to one up you and buy £500 worth of toys next time?! Win win all round! Nah, mate. If anybody at your workplace looks at you with anything less than respect for this, they are the asshole. Don’t do something silly like get to the office at 6am, then be sitting there when the next person arrives at 8:30… turn up early, drop them off, then go do something else for 2 hours (bask in the glory of your generosity) and then turn up for work at the usual time, and feign ignorance. Find other organisations accepting gifts, there will always be some around. Looks for places like Bernardo’s that specialise in working with disadvantaged kids. Also consider older kids, there’s a local charity motorbike toy run each year I attend to deliver toys to a Bernardo’s home and there’s always tons of toys for under 10s, but really low amounts for early teens. Fuck what people think – you done a great deed for the kiddies . Thank you , thank you so much for your kindness. No kid should have to be without, especially on Xmas day. Being weird is great – your a shepherd not a sheep. Keep being you .
