But fam. fam. Those recipe boxes are so absolutely simple (by design! It’s a feature!) That an absolute caveman can do it. Your mom is right, this isn’t going to get any better any time soon and you do not have the Gabbie hanna flower artwork shirt Also,I will get this time (nor is it your responsibility!) to make him grow up Girl, I’ve dumped two guys for being useless around the house. Unfortunately I wasted 2 years on one and 5 years on the other (and yes, I paid most of the bills too). One of them I just begged to take responsibility for dinner one day a week and picked a random day of Tuesday. I said I didn’t care if he cooked something or ordered out, as long as I didn’t have to do anything. Tuesdays came around and he would say he forgot and ask me what I was making. I talked to both of them until I was blue in the face and they would always agree to pull more of their own weight, but when it came time to do it I still had to nag them to get the slightest thing done. That’s not who I want to be and that’s not the life I want to live. I’d rather be single than be a domestic servant to a man-child.

I asked him why he hasn’t asked me for help and he said he’d had to have a lie down because he was tired and he was gonna come get me to find the Gabbie hanna flower artwork shirt Also,I will get this bacon. … wut? He sounds legitimately incompetent. The inability/unwillingness to learn is absolutely a deal breaker because that translates to other areas of the relationship. Does he have any redeeming qualities? Because from that lack of ability, I am fully expecting that he doesn’t have a job either. I don’t get people who say they don’t know “how to cook.” Okay, so you can’t cook a perfectly roasted turkey, fine. But you can’t read the directions on the back of a pasta box? You can’t, I can’t believe I even have to say this, watch a youtube video on how to cook an egg? I’m no supergenius but I was cooking eggs, crepes, french toast, you name it, by the age of 12. And it was never because I had to, or even because of gender norms. If I was hungry and mom wasn’t cooking, I would just make myself some food. If someone told me they couldn’t cook anything, I would think they were either lying, grew up sheltered and spoiled, or are very stupid. Not only are these men who can’t (ie refuse to learn how to) cook pathetic, so are the parents that brought them up! I was cooking dinner one night a week for a family of nine by third grade, and breakfast for myself everyday. We were too poor for cereal – we ate eggs everyday because we had chickens.
