I talk in English at home but not because of any “attitude” or feelings that English is superior, it’s just that my parents (and their families) are from lots of different linguistic backgrounds and English is like a common connecting language for everyone. My kannada is near flawless, grew up a kannadiga, my mother tongue is supposedly Tamil.
