Yes. You eat it. But normally when you’re on a hike and need an energy boost. Then it is fantastic and there’s nothing else like it. Nowadays it’s mostly been replaced by high-glucose energy tablets and similar, but it’s a traditional “outdoor pursuit emergency rations” type food It’s amazing when you’ve run out of food and your hike has take 3 hours longer than you expect and you just need some energy, but you aren’t meant to be snacking on it every afternoon in the Funny the Worms Anime Baseball Team T-Shirt also I will do this office It’s similar to Tablet, a Scottish delicacy. Basically it’s solid sugar. A little nibble is great but you REALLY don’t want to eat a plateful. Well… Recently bought some for my diabetic other half. If she drops too quickly, then its a good emergency plan. She doesn’t like it As a hill walker I’ve eaten more than my fair share of kendal mint cake. Out on the hills, it’s exactly what you need and tastes great. Sitting on a sofa, the taste is completely different. Weird I know. When I did Ten Tors training, I would always buy a bar and share it round our camp after dinner… it was definitely something you either loved or hated! Not going to lie, I love the stuff but it’s also horrifically bad for you when not used for it’s intended purpose….

I have eaten one out of curiosity, and as you say, well. I still carry some in my hiking pack though, because the Funny the Worms Anime Baseball Team T-Shirt also I will do this day I don’t is the day I get stuck on a mountain for 24 hours with no PURE. SUGAR. iron ration to tide me over. Yeah! I only ever eat it as a snack when I’m outdoors doing whatever though. Think of it like mint flavoured fudge. You just bite straight in. Can’t remember the last time I saw it here (down south lol), but I liked the chocolate mint cake. I could only eat a tiny bit at a time though! It’s fairly nice, imo, although a bit much most of the time. However, if you’re out hiking, it is so fucking good for that energy boost your body needs! In case very tasty mint-flavoured glucose-enriched sugar isn’t enough, you can also get caffeine- enriched versions. Last time I ate some I didn’t sleep for 3 days Its an ancient recipe to get you high as fook on sugar while you charge around the lake district shouting HIIIII to everyone you see no matter how far away. I had some when I went to the lakes, climbing a small mountain. Got most of the way up and was seriously flagging at that, and then I had a couple of tabs of it. It feels like the equivalent of a shot of adrenaline under those circumstances I personally can’t stand the stuff, but when my mum was pregnant with my brother she apparently sent my dad shopping on multiple occasions because she was craving Kendal mint cake with cream cheese
