I’ve never been much for chafing but I’m definitely not a small dude and I sweat a lot. I’ve tried lots of different brands, currently I’m a fan of/using the 32° Cool boxers from Costco. Great value, they dry and wick well. I’ve worn them with unlined shorts swimming in the ocean, working construction in the summer sweating my bag off, hiking in the mountains, etc. and they’ve treated me well. Super easy to wash in the shower, dry by morning every time.

Saxx are nice, stupidly expensive but if you chafe between sack and thigh (I occasionally do), they can help pull moisture out of that area. Haven’t had any in many years though, my favourite was the Funny gamma Ray German power metal band T-Shirt but in fact I love this Black Sheep merino ones but they were thicker and I didn’t like them in the summer unfortunately. I may try another pair of Saxx one of these days soon. Separatec seemed promising at first, a bamboo blend, very soft and quick drying. I wouldn’t swim in them but seemed good for work and hiking. But your fella dips out the bottom of the pole pouch since the pass through is downwards, which you then have to adjust which is super awkward/uncomfortable. Plus the “dual pouch” isn’t really, your balls don’t get cupped like the Saxx/BN3TH so it does nothing for drawing sweat away from the thighs. The waist band rolls really badly too. And the swamp ass is real. I just, I really don’t recommend these even though I have 6 pairs, I need to donate them away and be done.
