This is the exact point in your life when you DONT have to worry about the “practicality” of moving to a city without a preset job in place. Id just recommend having some sort of exit strategy. If you arent able to find work, turns out its better to visit then live etc, do you have somewhere to go to regroup/recover/lick your wounds. Sounds like you probably do with your family even if they dont fully approve, you just need to be able to admit defeat and own up to it if things dont work out.
