Iphones were always the easiest phones to work on and to find reasonably priced parts(not oem certified, but same) As a person that has fixed smartphones I totally agree. The moment you need suction cups and guitar picks you know a challenge is in store even for the technically adept. I replaced my screen at home like 8 times on the same phone and it’s not ridiculous to fix those things but the shops are cheaper when you add effort and labor in. Not just the iphones. Over the last decade they have made repairing any of their devices more of a pain in the ass. On my 2012 Macbook I can pop open the back, remove one tab and a few screws and swap out a hard drive or the battery easy as pie. Now you have to basically take half the assembly apart and deal with glue and other unrelated parts just to swap out the battery.

Well,, look at Lappy/mobile chart,, if y’all know how to repair electrical things… ya Pay for performance. not comparing apples to apples (apple in-cider none the less..)… (LOL kind of a pun) But for reels,, take ya run-of-the-mill big store shelf-purchase “basic” MacBook Pro v the DHell lappy,,, (that they are supposedly generically saying is easier to repair)… prob referring to a $600 garbage unit,, consistent with five year prior technology… sure ,,, there are probably 40 screws in the entire laptop (if it’s not missing some) making it easy to disassemble,, But it’s a hot pile of bile. I know it doesn’t even have a 1080 P screen,, the touchpad barely worked when it was brand new ,,, the keyboard is trash,, the shell is trash,, consistent with squirt gun polymers,,, the power cord is trash likely fraying,, and probably has a 4tb spindle hard drive making it appealing to someone who doesn’t get it,,, . And then the audacity to say that alienwear is a couple of steps below OK ,,well guess what? dell owns them too… lol w/e ! And the cell phone repair scale really… It is ultimately easier to repair a cracked screen on an iPhone v Samsung phone ,,,prove me wrong haha cheers
