I’ve never seen anyone who suggested term limits explain how it would have prevented someone like Ted Cruz, or Marjorie Taylor Greene, or Samuel Alito from getting into office and being assholes from day one. Ummmm how about when a Democrat President got blocked from nominating a judge WITH THE CURRENT SYSTEM IN PLACE NOW Here’s the Flight 828 survivor netflix manifest shirt but in fact I love this problem. We probably need term limits for EVERYBODY – justices, congress members on both sides, etc. Unfortunately, in order for that to happen we would need to vote out a bunch of people who are entrenched until they die. Gerrymandering is making it harder and harder for Congress to represent their people fairly. And now, Republicans are screeching “Stop the Steal!” every time they don’t win. I support this. And before you state that this would only make it more political, I have some news for you. It’s already political.

We shrugged our shoulders and left judges to their lifetime appointments hoping that they could be better. Term limits on the Supreme Court would creat a roller coaster effect for our Democratic Republic and a sever ping pong effect on the laws impacting its citizens. And while we’re at it let’s get term limits for the house and the senate as well. The country does not benefit from career lawmakers.
