Yeah no! At a party or concert you will find people who like to go to parties or concerts. But people are different. There’s never a wrong place, even at a funeral. The wrong mindset is if people go to a certain place trying to find someone to approach. Just be genuine, just go to a place because you have something to do there or if you like that place. Then if you are somehow attracted to someone, just approach with manners which are suitable for that place. Like in the Fishing Solves Most Of My Problems Hunting Solves The Rest T-Shirt in other words I will buy this library you just need to smile if she smiles back slides a paper with compliment and your contact then leave her. If she likes you she will contact you. “Talk to a girl in a library!? Pfft, no, you should be trying to single handedly resurrect the western arcade industry and then talk to a girl there!” I love posts like these because they think they are giving solid advice. But instead they’re just exposing themselves as sleezballs.

Duh. You shouldn’t really be using pick up lines on women anywhere. Try having a conversation like a decent human being, and stop trying to gamify relationships. Indeed. Not saying I plan to go around to libraries talking to every girl I see but, the Fishing Solves Most Of My Problems Hunting Solves The Rest T-Shirt in other words I will buy this idea that you shouldn’t strike up a conversation with someone you happen across (who is obviously receptive to it) in an innocuous public place is peak Reddit. Now hold up, where did this come from? I was saying that girls at libraries are generally there to read, not that you shouldn’t approach them if they’re amenable. I suggested the arcade because those are generally more social settings, where there’ll be more people in general who are receptive to a conversation, because you’re there to hang out and not study or bingeread the latest novel by Urist McAuthor, not because girls who enter libraries become randomly toxic.
