If people can support themselves they should. Having no qualification for super does not make sense compared with all the Fisher Birthday Gift Keeping It Reel Birthday 99th Bday T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this other things that are means tested. So word is here in the top of the south island that timber sawmills have slowed processing because demand has slowed because of prices and the port dead tree carcass storage area for raw logs is at capacity. There is absolutely no excuse not to drop timber prices because of “supply issues” because of covid. Can some reporter please do a story on this, us every day kiwis are getting absolutely screwed because of these massive companies price gouging. When demand reduces, the high prices can be maintained by monopolies or cartels artificially reducing supply. They will do this until the consumer capitulates and pays the high prices. There is no cheap credit to enable innovation and new entrants so these business can safely hold prices high while slowly downsizing their operations.

Only when the Fisher Birthday Gift Keeping It Reel Birthday 99th Bday T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this consumer doesn’t capitulate (because they have literally run out of spare money) you will see inventory dumped. This is why the cycle is: High Inflation -> Stagflation -> Disinflation. After that we either return to stability, or we get Deflation and a depression. Capitalism isn’t good capitalism. Companies are always going to strive for profitability over caring for consumers. That’s human nature, you can’t force people to care. But you can force them to compete, which is good for consumers That is, they’re not government owned, so can’t be used as a political tool or sold off, but they also aren’t owned for profit. They are mandated to make enough profit to run well as a business, but not to pay any dividends. There’s quite literally no incentive to raise prices just to make more profit, because the business cannot do anything with that profit other than… continue businessing. No greed in it. If growth is already at an acceptable level, then they can just lower prices. I thought capitalism in it’s purest form is unregulated because ‘it regulates itself’, but we all know that doesn’t happen. As always, benefits are private, costs are public. I got a big gum tree at my house pruned by a guy that’s doing it as his side gig. He’s normally a logger. He says in the last month or two, the logging has dropped right off, and his side gig is becoming his main gig.
