Overall you’re going to get the Finn Balor Signature Irish professional wrestler T-Shirt also I will do this same misinformation as if you ask the North Koreans their thoughts on “Dear Leader” from my hundreds of hours looking at random shit form russia in the last 2 years i can confirm that most russians actually think putin is a good leader, which is crazy to me. majority of russians support the invasion of ukraine. because when it comes to national conflicts, people tend to support their army even if they don’t like their leader. just remember how almost all americans were brainwashed with Bush’s lies in 2003 to prepare for the invasion of iraq. I think this needs to be put in the context of post-USSR societal and economic collapse. 90s were an absolutely miserable time for tens of millions of people (this is also true for Ukraine and many other ex-soviet republics; e.g. Moldova seems to not have recovered to this day). Many established economic ties were severed, huge pieces of industry were sold for peanuts, the oligarchs became a thing (the degree to which Putin is tied to said oligarchs is a whole different topic). Organised crime that started to emerge in late 80s became all-powerful. Think Baltimore from The Wire. Some city cemeteries have whole alleys of 2.5 meter-high tombstones of young men who died in gang wars.

A lot of that has been eradicated in the Finn Balor Signature Irish professional wrestler T-Shirt also I will do this 2000s. Many people who struggled in the 90s might perceive the modern-day Russia as a much better place to live. They also associate the positive changes with Putin’s reign. That doesn’t hold for the whole population, but is true for a sizeable chunk. It depends who is asking. If a Russian tied official asks, they absolutely LOVE the greatest dictator ever. Don’t forget, wrong answers get you killed in Russia. Tribalism is the most evil force in the world. I hope one day we’ll shun nationalism the same way that we shun gangs. It does not matter because in dictatorships, no matter how big the country, the only single person who counts is the dictator. You cannot ascertain people’s true feelings in an authoritarian society especially one like Russia that has been a brutal and repressive dictatorship for almost its entire history. For obvious reasons, most Russians are not honest about their feelings. Of course some of them, maybe a majority, have bought into all the political propaganda and worship Putin, but it’s not whatever absurd number Russian polls put out, though. What is true is that most of them, unfortunately, have either relegated themselves to the state of affairs in their country or have left already. Of course! Stand any of them in front of a 10 story window and ask them, they’ll jump out before saying they don’t like him. Or like right after, either way they won’t be around so 100% approval!
