No. If he does this whole “if you tell me what to do, I’ll do it” when it comes to everything from cleaning up to chores to other household tasks, can he just not see that these things need to be done? Or is he unwilling to take the initiative to do these things. He’s not your teenage child, he’s supposed to be an equal partner. Cooking is hard if you’ve got no experience. But it’s not impossible. It sounds like this guy either couldn’t be bothered to try or is literally too stupid to figure it out. Both of which are 100% legit reasons to break up with someone. even my friend whos depressed to a level where he cant work properly and receives state assistance can use a microwave and oven. Break up with someone because they can’t cook? Feels a bit strong. Break up because they can’t cook clean after themselves or help out in the house and have weaponized helplessness to act like a particulary poorly raised child while being a grown fucking man? Oh, hell yes.
