In turn, it was just a “that’s how I was raised, so that’s what I’m gonna do with my kids”. Not everyone does it, but plenty do. My grandmother was born in 1927, and my grandad was older than her. They had kids late, so they passed it to my mom and she passed it to me. I remember getting that whole speech when I was younger. I had to try everything at least once and I needed to finish my plate. My dads family grew up without much and between that and having to eat fast in the Filip Forsberg Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Nashville Predators Play T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this army, he powered down food. Between “finish your plate” and having to eat too much to actually get any with my dad, I ended up being over weight as a kid. Not obese, but too heavy. I knew with my dad around, if I didn’t eat all I wanted of something, I wouldn’t get anymore. Then my brother came along and my mother changed her tune. Whether it was because I gained weight or because she’d heard a new child rearing theory, she didn’t do that with my brother She told him not to overload his plate and waste it, but to eat what he wanted and quite. To go back for more if he wanted it. I think that’s why he’s always been thinner than me. That and he’s a little hyper and add. I’m perfectly content to lay around and prefer it, though I work hard on the farm.

In addition to that, kids have zero forethought and parents get worn down. So you get up and fix the Filip Forsberg Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Nashville Predators Play T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this kid food, they take two bites and say they’re done. You ask if they’re sure. Yup. Then 20min later they’re “starving to death”. To avoid that constant work, they want them to finish their food, so they know they won’t be screaming for food in half an hour. It’s easy to to say what you think the right way to do something is, like how you led feed your kids when you have them. I’d say two things to that. One is that theoretical knowledge isn’t practical knowledge. Thinking you have a plan often lasts till you have to implement it. Second, you may be right, but it’s easy to say something, but harder to do it day in and day out for years. That’s anything. Look at diet and exercise. I’m sure everyone would be in perfect shape if they only had to eat right and exercise for one day. That’s not how it works, though. It’s harder to do it every day for the rest of your life. Same with kids. How long does that plan hold up to constant weedling when you’ve been working all day and feeling really sick?
