Arresting a 6 year old child and putting them in handcuffs and a police car? Yeah that’s some sick shit and will scar them for life. Why not call their parents you fucking idiots? Normal 6 year olds can have temper tantrums… Why do they have to “arrest”… So ridiculous. The adults in that school should have protocol how to discipline them when things happen instead of calling the Feed Me Crawfish and Tell Me I’m Pretty T-Shirt and by the same token and police on a little kid… unless it’s murder or someone in critical condition from a small child, this is too much…. I worked in a classroom where they sent all the “bad kids”. These guys were K-2nd grade and they knew more foul language than I did, would cuss you out, throw punches, flip tables, throw chairs… they were difficult and they couldn’t fit in in a mainstream classroom. Most of them had so much anger. But the reality was they were all dealing with terrible home conditions. They were suffering and they were too little to have to deal with such big suffering and emotion. A couple of them had ok homes but were clearly just autistic and needed to be understood.

Feed Me Crawfish and Tell Me I’m Pretty T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

A few got to go to the Feed Me Crawfish and Tell Me I’m Pretty T-Shirt and by the same token and school counselor once a week but it wasn’t enough. We definitely got beat up, scratched and bruised, but we did our best to protect them from themselves and from each other. We were no psychologists, but we tried teach them to talk about the feelings in their body, give them the tools to manage their emotions and allow them safe places to go be alone if things were hard. They were really cool kids if you got to know them and they didn’t want to be “bad”. They just didn’t know how not to be. It was a rocky experience and we honestly weren’t trained enough to deal with everything, but it really opened my eyes to how many kids just get more damaged by the school system because no one knows what to do. I think about those kids a lot.
