My grandma’s brother had polio as a kid, destroyed muscles in his back and he could never stand up straight after that. Lived almost his whole life hunched over. Also had a high school teacher that had it, destroyed his deltoid muscles and he could not raise his upper arms. He had to use his opposite lower arm to push up his other arm to write on the FC Cincinnati 7 Yuya Kubo MLSPA Foosball Shirt But I will love this classroom whiteboard. my grandfather spent a year in an iron lung as a child. He ended up having a normal life but he was real short and I wonder if that was why. Her body never grew right, and her legs are different lengths. Eventually, this warped her hips to the point where she was unable to walk without aid by 50. Her muscles are degenerating, including her heart, and heart issues started up strong in her 30s. Survival does not mean good quality of life, something too many people don’t understand. Medical bills have also bankrupted this person multiple times. My father had a mild case as a child. It stunted one of his legs so he’s spent his whole life limping around. It might also be the cause of his epilepsy. In old age, it is causing all sorts of nerve issues.

Was it Mitch McConnell? Because he had it as a kid and he turned into an assholic turtle who doesn’t want Americans to have the FC Cincinnati 7 Yuya Kubo MLSPA Foosball Shirt But I will love this same free taxpayer-funded health care he’s had since 1975. When I was a kid into my teens, I had a doctor who had been involved in various polio eradication efforts in the 3rd world when he was younger. He had several posters from that time on his wall. One I remember was a young kid with a walking stick a little taller than he was. One leg was completely devoid of muscle, and was wrapped around the stick so he could use it as a sort of crutch. I asked about it and he explained a bit about what polio did to the body and his time there (though unfortunately I forgot specifics about what he told me). I don’t think I’ll ever forget those posters. I recall at him telling me about how polio was eradicated. It sounded amazing how humanity was able to do that.
