What this is, i think, it’s a codification of probably high frequency electromagnetic radiation to corresponding sound frequencies, so that we can “hear” the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Spicoli Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this X-rays. In the same way we can’t hear planets or stars making sound, the same can be said on black holes. Plus, depending how far a black hole is, even if it made any sound, said sound could take billion and billions more years to reach us because, well, the speed of sound is extremely slower than light, it depends on density, and is much more easily dispersed. None of these “sounds from space” are actually sounds audible by human beings without the data being transformed. In this case, pressure waves in the gases around the black hole at the center of the Perseus galaxy cluster have been shifted up 57 octaves to convert them into audible sound for educational purposes. This is called “sonification”. More detail is available here:

Ah…. Luckily it wasn’t the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Spicoli Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this audio of a female getting double penetrated, I’m right next to my mother and I took the chance ? Blacks holes emit a small amount of information from inside or close to the event horizon. Also the stuff orbitting it outside of the event horizon are usually huge and full of energy. But I did write another comment point out how fucking stupid these “I turned it into a sound” posts are. Look I turned my flatulence into a sound. This is pretty ridiculous. The idea that a black hole would have “sound” as we perceive it is absurd. This “sound” is basically meaningless noise. Sound can exist in the low-density gas surrounding the black hole. The sound is created by the black hole’s rotation. This is supposed to be sound that was indirectly measured by the observatory and pitch shifted into the audible range.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
