I feel like the Fall For Jesus He Never Leaves Cross Pumpkins Flowers Thanksgiving Party T-Shirt In addition,I will do this Republican party is so obviously a grift that it is embarrassing. They have no ideology other than cut taxes and stop liberals. So wealthy people and companies get their tax breaks and whatever the social issue of the day is gets talked about as if it is important when it is not. What theyd be left is abortion utterly banned and a huge swath of single issue working class voters switiching to dems!! Unified opposition to abortion has been a big part of the “glue” holding the GOP together. When (not if) SCOTUS overturns Roe and Casey and throws it back to the states, you’re going to have a very loud and very visible part of the GOP demanding that states outlaw abortion entirely – no tip-toeing around it, no more using Roe and Casey as excuses for not doing it, nothing. The issue is that total abortion bans are staggeringly unpopular. Based on recent polling, only 30% of voters want a complete ban on abortion.

The GOP now runs the Fall For Jesus He Never Leaves Cross Pumpkins Flowers Thanksgiving Party T-Shirt In addition,I will do this very real and very serious risk of being overextended on a very unpopular issue which energizes their opponents, reduces their own turnout due to single-issue voters no longer participating since their single issue has been addressed, and may result in a net loss of political power. My middle aged christian mother, an obstetrics nurse for 25+ years, who has held aborted foetus’ at every allowable stage (Canada) is deeply opposed to abortion, and would never have one. But she would never support banning it, because “you never know what someone is going through”, and because she would never want her daughter to not have the choice. Banning abortion isn’t about being pro-life. it’s about punishing women for “being irresponsible”, and using a baby to enact that punishment – regardless of how unwanted that child grows up. I’m sure there are pro-lifers who genuinely believe life begins at conception… But thats a bullshit narrative propped up by scum who’s only concern is hurting people.
