Motivation! It’s the high you get during and after. It also creates discipline that carries over into other areas of life. That last set or last rep that you do when you don’t feel like it you can then translate over into other things and it becomes a habit. Also seeing the results. It takes some months depending on your genetics but the results are real and it makes it all worth it. I find that once you hit the 1 month mark of consistency it becomes way harder to stop. Also just knowing investing in your heath now is the best investment you can make to save you money later. Once you hit 30 you can’t eat and live like you did 17-25. You can but you’ll pay for it in your mid 30’s early 40s By this point, it’s just the routine. I’d like to say it’s health or a runners high, but the biggest reason I go out is that it is a thing I do, and thus want to keep doing it.

Disney + and HBO max. I have a list of movies I missed and am going through. I workout for 30-50 minutes and get through half or a third of a movie. I don’t enjoy working out at all but I do look forward to a good movie. The last decade marvel movies were great to go through. DC and spiderman is not consolidated to one platform. Used to do Kettle bells for an hour, but after back surgery I can’t. Now I just ride an assault bike for 60 minutes at about 10 BPM below max for my age. Sheer procrastination keeps me going.
