During his time at Ole Miss, Engram set several school records for a tight end. He finished his collegiate career with 162 receptions, 2,320 receiving yards, and 18 touchdowns. His impressive performances caught the attention of NFL scouts, and he was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Engram made an immediate impact with the Giants, becoming a reliable target for quarterback Eli Manning. He recorded over 700 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons, solidifying his status as a rising star in the league. However, injuries hampered some of his later seasons in New York.

In 2023, Engram sought a fresh start and signed a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The move reunited him with former Giants offensive coordinator Chad Wilson, who now serves as the Jaguars’ passing game coordinator.
With the Jaguars, Engram is expected to play a key role in the passing game alongside wide receivers Christian Kirk and Zay Jones. His size, athleticism, and versatility make him a versatile threat for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He can line up as a traditional tight end or flex out wide, creating mismatches for opposing defenses.
Engram’s ability to stretch the field, find the open zones, and make contested catches will be invaluable for the Jaguars’ offense. He provides a reliable target for Lawrence and will help create scoring opportunities from all over the field.
