Salaries in tech can be quite low in Stockholm compared to London so my wage will probably get a big hike! No doubt if you are moving into London as newbies, or semi newbies it is good, but for me it is sad, when I grew up there, everyone knew everyone and we all went back generations. We are actually looking to permanently relocate to Norway, we love it there. How you could consider London whilst living in Sweden sounds nuts to me. Sweden has very long winter. Food is decades behind the UK. Night life is awful (I am very much in to techno and dnb so I still go out. Less then I did but still do). Beer is expensive and poor choice. It’s very dull. Some of the attitudes here I like, some of them I don’t like. It’s not all bad here, but I much prefer London. Imagine only 6 weeks of warm weather a year. Stockholm can be like that sometimes. Unthinkable in London for the most part (I know this summer was weird, but very uncommon that was)

There is so much going on in London. I fly back for nights out. If you were to come back London way it might be better to look just outside the city since you’re able to work remotely, but with 110k between you you’ll do you nicely in the city regardless. When it comes to nightlife, clubs have taken a bit of a dive i think 30-40% closed due to Covid and rent so a lot of the smaller ‘cooler’ places closed while the bigger name venues are still around but close early (councils have made late licenses harder to get). But there’s still fucktons of music, bars, galleries and events so culturally you’re pretty golden.
