The OJ documentary “Made in America” covers a lot of this in depth. I highly recommend it if you can power through the Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings Inglasco 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs shirt moreover I love this completely sickening domestic abuse episode. It’s definitely a 1-and-done watch, but is an incredible documentary. Watching the trial from abroad as an independent person, the defence certainly put enough reasonable doubt into the trial. OJ was just about the last black man the LAPD would have wanted to frame. He had police officers over at his house all the time. He basically only hung out with white people. Racist cop Mark Fuhrman sure helped with that. But who do these people think did it? Some stranger randomly killed them? Lack of a other suspect is a shitty reason to condem somebody. With that logic you are basicly saying its more important that SOMEBODY get punished instead of the right person. It doesn’t matter. The trial isn’t about “who did it”, it’s about “did the prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt that OJ did it”. I think he did it but if I was on the jury I probably would have voted to acquit because there was enough reasonable doubt, primarily due to the LAPD fucking the investigation up. Which, is the most plausible of the alternative theories, but it’s still not correct and OJ did murder both people. Well yes, one of the jurors was straight up an ex-Black Panther and did a black power salute after the verdict was read and the jury was excused.

Other jurors said they did it as “justice” because of Rodney King, as if the Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings Inglasco 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs shirt moreover I love this two scenarios were at all related. People talk a lot about the prosecution fucking up with things like the inclusion of Fuhrman, but in legal reality the failure started from the getgo with jury selection. A good majority of those selected, including the alternates that ended up becoming replacements, likely would never have agreed to convict. And that further compounds on the prosecution’s list of failures because they should have tried the case in Brentwood, which was where the murders happened and would have been a jury of OJ’s true peers: rich white people. I remember seeing a part of a documentary my wife was watching. I’m pretty sure one of the jurors straight up admitted they knew he was guilty and didn’t care. Then you can just come back and say that you have a hung jury and start all over again with a different jury. Juries are not obligated to come back with a verdict.
