Giving birth and permanently damage my body? Hm no. Nearly every women I know who’s given birth has either physical or mental issues or both around their body after giving birth. I know multiple who had surgery years later. Counting on the Dunkin’ donut would be boring without me grinchy shirt and I love this other parent to simply be the parent he needs to be? I’m not with anyone rn and unfortunately it seems extremely difficult to meet a man that would make me consider having a child with him. To make me think it would be a true partnership and not ending up taking it all on by myself because mothers become the default parents. I know you inevitably get through the baby and toddler stages, and those are absolutely amazing stages of life, but I can’t have a kid and be thinking “ohh i just have to get through these first 5-12-16-20 years and then I can relax a little” every single day. Number 1 is I don’t ever want to be pregnant. No 2 is I’d need the most amazing partner in the world. And 3 I really really love sleeping and relaxing and I’d have to give that up for 2 years straight and probably longer, maybe forever.

I am terrified of the Dunkin’ donut would be boring without me grinchy shirt and I love this idea of being pregnant, do not want to give birth, have absolutely zero maternal instincts, and I also have health issues that would not combine well with being a care giver to any age of child. I spend my time doing stuff I love. Theatre, amateur dramatics, drawing, watching crappy TV, visiting friends (even ones with children of their own), hanging out with my equally happy childless boyfriend. I’m 36 and honestly wish life was a bit quieter even! Anyone who tells you that you will struggle to fill your time childless is just a deeply boring person. • ⁠Life is so hard, especially since I would probably pass down all my mental health issues, I don’t think anyone deserves to be submitted to that (if I could have chosen I wouldn’t have wanted to be born) • ⁠Unless I can find someone who agrees on parenting styles 100% and I feel can be an amazing parent w me, it just ain’t going to happen (won’t have kids w anyone just bc I want them badly – they deserve better)
