Doesn’t matter how strong a swimmer you are, if a panicked adult or large child is grabbing onto you desperately for dear life, good chance you’re both going under. i saw a scarring video of a person drowning, someone jumped in to help, the Drag Talk Rosy Crown Jutty Pick Me Girl Shirt moreover I love this drowning person literally put his hands on the rescuer’s shoulders and pushed him under to breathe… they both kept struggling until the rescuer sunk away out of sight, then the drowner struggled just under the surface for a bit and sunk away as well… fucking easy way to die. Yep, my mom tried to save her drowning boyfriend when they were both 18. He was utterly and completely panicked so much so that he kept pushing her under the water. She almost drowned and she was a very strong experienced swimmer. She kept trying to get behind him to safely grab him from behind but he just kept desperately pulling her under so she had to break free. She ended up not being able to save him and she was so fatigued from it all she almost drowned too. So many people die jumping in rivers after their dogs. You never know if there’s a current that will drag you under. The average person doesn’t usually know enough about the river or rescue techniques to save anyone without risk to themselves. I was immediately worried when he jumped in that it would be too shallow and he’d break his legs. He did seem to be trying to keep the guy he was rescuing on his back with head above the water though, seemed he knew something. Based on the article it looks like they managed to save the guy (who would have undoubtedly drowned without help) but they got hypothermia and had to be treated.

This comment is the Drag Talk Rosy Crown Jutty Pick Me Girl Shirt moreover I love this way. I’m trained to be able to rescue folks in the water and there’s no way I would go in that water. Best case you need rescuing too; worst case you drown too If I had jumped in, there would be two people in critical condition. I can swim to save my own life but keeping another person afloat is beyond my skills. I used to work at a ferry terminal, and one day, a drunken man fell off the edge of the ferry in the middle of the ocean. The captain would not let any of his officers jump after him because of some bullshit bureaucracy. He kept lowering some kind of lift from the side of the boat, but the guy couldn’t hold on to it. Eventually, the engineer onboard ignored the captain orders and jumped to save him. I don’t know if he got into any trouble, but everyone was calling him the hero. I thought you would go with the « they put this man in there beforehand to film it for likes » version of the « I’m too clever for this world » redditor
