Then, if I were you, I’d tank the company on purpose just to further underscore the point. I got hired at a retail job because of my looks. Guys and upper management all admitted it. Basically all the women did (tech store, early 2000s). They got some badass women due to it by sheer luck. One of my best friends is from that job. But it stung to hear that’s why I was hired and not because of what was on my resume (it wasn’t a lot but I knew stuff going in). Appearance is very important even if there is 0 intention to do so people will make an impression on you before you even say a word. How you look how you dress and present yourself all matters.

Use this opportunity to gain experience then find a job you will feel you deserve. Unfortunately this happens more than we realize. Story time: My first job right out of college was a Computer Tech job for a local retail clothing store for women. Think Melrose. I worked there for 2 years and when I got there, they were still in the Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Muppets T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Stoneage with old school cash registers and no way of knowing what was selling and what wasn’t aside from manual inventory. I got them computer-based registers that would send sales daily sales to the main office to go over the data and make better business decisions. They made so much money that they opened up 3 stores in 3 cities inside large shopping malls. This means hiring young attractive women. I was the youngest male in the company so they wanted me present at all interviews. We rated each woman from 1 – 5. 5 being the most attractive. Experience did not matter at all. For age, we preferred college-aged women too. I know, it’s scummy but take a look at Guess, Express, AE, BR, and so many more. They all do it. Oh, and yes, I dated several of the women. My boss told me to knock it off as it was a bad look. LOL
