After EVERYONE I know telling me how much I’d just love stranger things, and me hating it, I’ve simply assumed that I’d equally dislike GOT and continued to not bother. (If someone else put it on, I’d shrug and watch it, just not going to do it on my own. ) Yes, I didn’t like stranger things either, for the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but same reason – it moved too slowly for my personal taste. I think that people who enjoy slow paced shows don’t understand that some other people don’t. Nothing inherently wrong with slow paced shows – lots of people love them – but not me. I think you nailed what I couldn’t put into words. It was just so slow that I got bored immediately, and didn’t give a shit about any of the characters. I was going like “when does the meteor come and take out all these assholes?”. That is when I realized I should just stop watching shows I don’t care about. I also don’t like movies where you have to pay a ton of attention to a bunch of dialogue. But I also realize my taste in movies in mostly mindless trashy entertainment.

that’s nonconformity for the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but sake of nonconformity, and it’s still just another version of making your choices based on what other people are doing instead of deciding for yourself if you like something or not. Or you just don’t watch it because it doesn’t appeal to you, and you simply don’t give a damn if anyone else is watching it. Big difference. Never watched it. Never will. To further illustrate my stubbornness, I have also never seen any part of LOTR, any of the Mission Impossible series, any of the Matrix movies, or most of the MCU movies. I saw Ironman and Antman… that’s it. There was once a time you would never tell the mainstream you got into fantasy because it was very nerdy indeed. We used to enjoy it in cheap privacy, the only obstacles being waiting for and getting your hands on a new release.

It’s true. I am happy for people who love that stuff, but I have never been into it. It’s just not my thing. That’s not to say I never see “fun” movies. I saw Barbie. I did not find it life-altering. It was okay. It’s amusing from my perspective…I come from a time where books were read then theory discussion was had on the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but early message boards and blogs. We watched the LoTR thing explode…fantasy owes Peter Jackson a massive solid for his work…and knew the private world we indulged in was about to be busted. Now it’s massively mainstream. I find some of the TV work really good. The LoTR work was exceptional but Jackson is brilliant. I haven’t watched the ASoIaF stuff beyond the second season I think it was but I want Martin to finish the book series, that’s what I’m in it for, not the television. If you read books yourself you’ll understand why…it is difficult for TV shows to recreate what your imagination through reading builds and it can end up underwhelming. Definitely. I’m a voracious reader. I don’t read sci-fi or fantasy, either, but I love horror and there’s some overlap there. I rarely love the movie version of anything as much as I love the book. There are a few exceptions like The Shining and Misery.

My problem with sci-fi and fantasy is usually the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but language and the creation of an uncanny valley universe. I just don’t ever feel immersed. Yep, it’s not for everyone, that’s the beauty of reading. It’s fascinating how different genres do exactly the same thing to the reader. I struggle with real life genres such as crime, thriller and spy, books for me are a doorway out of this planets functions, that’s why I’m heavily into fantasy and sci fi. Quite often it’s those uncanny universes Im into the story for. Unfortunately there’s a lot of terrible writing out there. Poorly built worlds, magic systems that are lazily slapped together. I got an old friend that never watchdd it. He’s far gone. Maga and the like. Thinks that game of thrones is all wizard bullchit that is encouraging a fantasy mind set in young people that is turning them gay. Lol. But he is also a huge WWE fan. I stopped talking to him after he told me aliens are actually demonic entities trying to come into earth. So yea. Im now bias toward those who have not seen GoT

Some information about Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt

I didn’t watch it because I never watch media that’s hyped up everywhere, because I know it won’t live up to my expectations and I’ll be disappointed (also never watched Squid Games, etc). I’ll wait twenty years for everyone to forget about it and then watch it maybe. Same here. Not a single episode. I love good fantasy but his books are shit. I couldn’t imagine a show based on the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but most salacious parts of bad writing. I didn’t watch the sopranos, the wire, or game of thrones when they were on TV. I didn’t watch any weekly show like that. Then covid hit and I binged them all. Early Sopranos and the first season of the Wire were amazing. They lost their shine for me pretty quick and I never tried GoT.
Are people out here watching TV shows out of some kind of pressure? I just watch based on what seems interesting to me. Popularity only comes into it in the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but sense that if a lot of people like something, there’s probably a reason for that. Was going to check it out when it ended but then it ended and the internet talk then made me decide not to watch it Not having streaming, I had to wait until the DVDs were available at the library. It is not a big deal for me that I am out of sync with everybody else. There are more important things in life then talking about the latest TV series. My entire family watched it but I haven’t seen a single episode. I’m not really a TV person, or a pop culture person for that matter. If you were to ask me what’s popular right now in TV, music, movies, I wouldn’t have a clue. I don’t consider this a flex, I don’t think I’m superior at all for this, and I’m definitely not nlog, I just prefer audiobooks and documentaries for my media of choice because I’m a giant nerd who loves learning new things more than anything else on planet earth. God that sounds so cringey but there it is.
The utter irony though. Not susceptible to peer pressure…. MAGA affiliation loud and proud. There’s no cognitive dissonance there at all, nooooooo I never watched it but that’s because I can’t emotionally handle traumatic shows. I don’t want any dramas for that reason What the Dorian Finney-Smith American professional basketball player for Brooklyn Nets T-Shirt it is in the first place but f*** is is the point of this fool. They’re putting a simple gesture of avoiding a show that they clearly don’t have interest in as if it gives some important life lesson. It’s someone who didn’t watch a f****** TV show smart enough you dumbass Never watch a TV adaption of anything when the Source material is incomplete. That’s how you get the balls up the final season was… My kids and some friends couldn’t believe i wasn’t watching this “totally awesome” series. TV series are a waste of my time. . . Actually TV in general is a waste of my time. Low key, I’d bet he really wants to watch it.. lmao!!…but now he’s in too deep and can’t fold!!! … I kinda feel bad for him. That was me. Although, I did watch a couple episodes and just sort lost interest. I’ll watch it someday. Maybe. yeah, if you’re maga, the very last thing you can’t brag about is not being affected by social pressure. Sorry lady.
