I’ve seen numerous examples of “it looked like he had a gun” and that’s as justified as it needs to get. I don’t doubt they face greater pressure not to be too trigger happy, and are generally more accountable, but my whole point was about how it’s unreasonable to expect someone to respond to what they think is an armed conflict and not assume that lives are at risk.
