I have a water only Yeti. I fill it with ice water in the Don’t Let The Old Man In Toby Keith Shirt Also,I will get this morning and refill with water as needed. When I wake up the next morning I usually chug what’s left and it’s always still nice and cold and not stale tasting. I drink out of plastic water bottles. After the next day, if one isn’t finished, I toss it. Open container I drink right away, so it’s not left out. i have cats who get really greedy if you forget to feed them. we have to get a new glass every morning because the cats will just drink out of them and possibly spread stuff like salmonella. I used to always pop a compact disc case on top of my drinking glass, to keep the dust and bugs out, but CDs are out of fashion so now it’s an old tin of chocolates. (I ate the chocolates tho)

Contrary to popular belief, a small pool of exposed stagnant tap water that’s been sitting for a while most certainly CAN make you sick. I spilled is as fast as i drank it then vomited for 30 minutes I always leave my water out for at least a day for the chlorine to dissipate from it. Of course it’s in a covered water pitcher. Stagnant water does go bad. If you let it sit out for long periods of time, bacteria and other such nasties get in there and make no so drinkable. Hence the bad taste of stagnant water.
