Over Zoom, Herrold is much softer than the Dogs And Donuts Shirt and I love this character she plays. Where Harper is tough, tomboyish and sometimes prickly, Herrold is warm and approachable, remaining incredibly patient as we iron out technical difficulties.

Dogs And Donuts Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

The daughter of a cosmetologist, Herrold was practically raised in the Dogs And Donuts Shirt and I love this beauty salon where her mother worked in California. And yet, throughout her life, she’s had a complicated relationship with beauty. Despite it being instilled in her from a young age that beauty is something that’s intrinsic to who you are rather than what you look like, she lacked self-confidence as the only Black or even mixed-race person in the all-white community where she grew up.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
