Yet for some reason just doesn’t work for Drag Race. Although her outfits definitely didn’t help. Beyond naming specific queens, I think this is the shows way or setting Sasha apart from the growing number of queens who get 3+ wins on the show, are called consummate professionals by Ru and Michelle, and then lose at the finale to a more charismatic/unique or otherwise compelling (story wise) competitor. Can’t say for sure until the dust settles and we see who wins, but I read it as being there way to call Sasha a professional while also not baggaging her with the stigma the show itself has placed on queens they (again) themselves call professional lolol.

I wish they wouldn’t say things like that because there’s been some absolutely fierce people it’s been applied to that don’t deserve to be called ‘redundant’. I agree. I wrote a long diatribe about this in another post, but so many of these allegedly “lacking in personality/charisma/X factor” queens actually have it in spades, but production often does a poor job of showing it. Not everyone is going to love every queen, but there should be a character arc for all of the ones who make it far. I would have found her almost annoying if I had only seen her on the show. I had watched a lot of her Lives with Rosé before the season started, so I knew they were both really fun. That perfectionist edit they gave Rosé was also very bizarre and unnatural. Depends on what she meant by professional, is it someone who has the most wins? The best track record overall? Or do they also have to be good at different areas of expertise? There could be many answers, I think it was probably referring to the finalists who a lot people say get the “too professional edit” like Rosé, Jan and more recently Loosey
