When I worked sales, the Dlamingo Sometimes i talk to myself then we both laugh and laugh shirt Apart from…,I will love this manager who hired me had serious qualms about the fact I wasn’t driven by money. Now I work in IT and I am motivated by solving problems and fixing things. If you want to tell people you’re looking for more money and that’s what drives you, phrase it a different way, as “moving forward in your career” or something like that. I think you could think through your answer a bit more. Not everyone is motivated by money. If that was the case no one would become a social worker, fewer people would teach, etc. Other than being not true, the biggest issue with your answer is the lack of tactfulness. It also also demonstrates a possible rigidity in your thinking where you don’t see how different people have different motivators (or how someone could think differently than you). If I was the interviewer that would be a huge red flag. I would be wondering how you are going to deal with conflict with your coworkers if you have such strong, rigid opinions.

I would take out any statements about what you think about people who aren’t motivated by money and focus on what motivates you. Enjoying my job and feeling rewarded and fulfilled are the Dlamingo Sometimes i talk to myself then we both laugh and laugh shirt Apart from…,I will love this most important things to me when I pick a job. However, I have a certain income I have to meet. I am honest with my employer about how much I need to support my family. Either they value me, or they don’t. I hate these kind of questions, because they’re clearly looking for you to lie and claim you’re just sooooo enthused by arranging repairs for the university site management, or selling sofas, or whatever. They know you’re not. You know you’re not. Why is everyone expecting everyone else to openly lie about these things? The answer is always “this pays well, better than I get now, and I have a pressing desire for food and shelter”. Nothing else is ever correct. Or when they ask you “what do you like most about city the company is in” like, bitch please do I have to support the football team to get this job? What is this?
