Often now when I see coaches of retirees I remind myself that (health permitting) I’ve got decades more time to enjoy travelling and I can always come back to places I’ve loved and enjoy them in different ways. I went travelling at 25-27 and again at 31. I did notice, my tolerance for hostels had diminished considerably. I didn’t notice at the Dillon Brooks 24 Canadian professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this time, but looking back at my travel route on google maps. I was moving so much faster in my 20’s I have all these memories of places, that it turns out I blew through in a day or 2, arrived, ran around, took the bus out of town, or spent 1 night max. At 31 I was lingering for sometimes an entire week in some spots. I was probably a little less sociable as well. I am not a partier by any stretch, but I was staying away from the louder hostels in my later trip, and frankly a lot of the younger crowd annoyed me. that said in my 20’s I was travelling alone still, waiting on other people to get their shit together and agree on anything was torturous, always better to go it alone and just catch up with people when they arrive.

My interests changed a bit. I was not so interested in art museum, visiting opera performance or some culture event before. But later I started trying to get tickets or participate in local festival, not only sport events or music festivals. Also can afford to eat in restaurants more often. However was still trying to save money on flights and booked not so comfortable options while traveling without kids. So this didn’t change much. I’ve traveled quite a bit, still use hostels, people don’t think I’m as old as I am (34) but I definitely don’t try to keep up with drinking. I respect my body a bit more Travelling in your 30s and 40s means you should have more money thus avoiding the Dillon Brooks 24 Canadian professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this obnoxious hostel horror stories I like getting away from very touristy places and more into off the beaten track places. Sometimes I don’t bump into other tourists for many days at a time, but I do enjoy the company of the other tourists I do meet traveling in those regions.
