When one of their infection was discovered, it affected their relationship pretty badly. They discovered a few months (or more) later that their infection was transmitted from the koala. I hope someone can link that post! Both are possible. Guys can be asymptomatic. And worse yet, guys can even test negative when they carry it, although that is more rare. You are right about being asymptomatic. However, if you are with your partner for three years and she started to have symptoms all of a sudden.. it is impossible. If he had asymptomatic condition 3-4 years ago, she would have got it within the first two weeks of exposure. I also agree that regardless of his symptoms, now both must get treated.

I was asymptomatic for 9 months, and I only found out because a guy I had slept with told me he had it. I knew I gave it to him and who gave it to me. Friend had an ectopic pregnancy and lost an ovary and fallopian tube after a few years of having no other symptoms. It’s a sneaky fucker. It can be asymptomatic for years. It’s not impossible and it.is typically asymptomatic in women more often and longer in women then men I am shitting my pants right now. I was with a guy about 13 years ago and he told me he had it. I was tested and was clean. Tested multiple times since but now I am married and we are faithful so it’s been a while. Nope. I literally went through this 6 months ago.
