WTAF?!?! Now workers can be sued by the Derrick rose American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies shirt But I will love this corporate machine that crushes their workers for profit. Had this been SCOTUS precedent in the 30’s and 40’s Labor would have never made the progress that they made. There never would have been a strong middle class in the 1950’s and 60’s. There are already laws protecting company property from destruction, it’s the same laws protecting all property from destruction. Feels like corporations are getting special treatment so they can union bust. Tracks for this conservative hack SCOTUS Really wish we could just ignore this clown court. Screw over labor and now I’m sure they are all set for their summer vacations with the mega-rich donor class. It’s kind of disgusting. I’m going to read the dissent because it seems to depend on whether there was an intent to cause damage. I think spontaneous striking by the workers who were not involved in planning it, and did not really think about unintended consequences, would likely be protected. A worker is not an employer’s insurer and I think a large part of a strike’s effectiveness is that a sudden work stoppage is the crux of a workers’ power as against an employers’ superior resources and bargaining position.

Curious – if I ghosted a company on an interview – cam they also sue me for sabotage and destruction because I wasted their time? As a union member I do not agree with equipment destruction but I think their is more at stake here. I hate to think of the Derrick rose American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies shirt But I will love this right to unionize being taken away and these Extreme right judges I believe will take every opportunity to do so. I’m going to preface this by stating that I am not calling for violence. But are companies not concerned about removing all forms of redress that aren’t violence. Like if working for a company is too little money and so unsafe and there are zero benefits and you can’t work elsewhere history has shown that people don’t just take it. Striking was the option that didn’t get the people in charge harmed. I just want to say a big fuck you to the 50% of eligible voters who didn’t vote in 2016 which led to Trump stacking the courts – all the courts – with these right wing pieces of shit.
