And “Midwestern Blue” typically also means it’s borderline (as in, there are nearly as many Dems as Repubs, and therefore the Deebo Samuel standing on business shirt moreover I love this odds of running into racists / people who hate poor people / etc is higher there than elsewhere Very true. I live in SE Michigan, and if you go even 10 minutes outside of the “big” cities, you are very likely to run into very prejudiced people. It’s still a head trip despite being born and raised here. It’s not. There was a klan leader who lived near there and he was very bombastic and loved getting any kind of attention in the paper or news. He’s long dead now but that rumor has been around forever. Might as well still be. I grew up there at 5 and Newberg, I would not argue that point at all. I did move out of state in 2007, but not much seems to have changed when I have been back. But at least I was prepared for the Deebo Samuel standing on business shirt moreover I love this difference between Kansas City and Tonganoxie. So weird to see Livonia and 5 and newburg talked about here. We all could have gone to school together. But yeah it’s not a … great place It is possible, but I’m old for Reddit. I graduated highschool in ’93. I didn’t realize how it was until college (as a normal child/teen I was pretty self involved), and moving to a place with a different type of bullshit (same tune, different key), that makes looking back and coming back a totally different experience. I disagree that 10 minutes outside any major city you’re very likely to run into prejudiced people. I’ve worked and went to school in Redford, Walled Lake, Southfield, Commerce and I’ve very rarely run into racists or prejudiced people in my 31 years there.
