Yes, cause I’m surrounded by idiots who are sick. Why wouldn’t I wear a mask when someone in a crowded room keeps sneezing, coughing and acting like nothing is wrong. Why would I leave my chances of staying healthy to others who don’t care about their own well-being or don’t think COVID is real? So I don’t bother anymore unless it’s required somewhere then I obviously put it on because I’m not gonna be that asshole. Yes. I’m a nurse who worked through the worst of the pandemic. I’ve seen up close and personally the havoc it wreaks on the body. I don’t want that. I’m not convinced the pandemic is actually over. I’m sure I have some PTSD from the last few years, too. The mask makes me feel safe when I’m out.

I bring one everywhere and if the Dear santa it’s my reindeer merry christmas shirt and I love this business requires it then of course I put it on without arguing because I’m not an entitled piece of shit, and if I go somewhere with lots of people I wear it just in case because my Dad has cancer and my grandma is 89 and I spend a lot of time with both of them. Yep. In the middle of chemo and my kids are in elementary school so…we all mask up. It’s tough when they ask why some of their friends aren’t wearing masks but they’ve been really good about it. AlI while getting frequent “your child may have been exposed to COVID” emails from the school so fun times! Yes. Because I have cystic fibrosis and I’m a mother to a 3 month old baby. Also I live right below my 58yr old mom; she’s extremely healthy for her age but still. Also I refuse to get the covid vax because it doesn’t work. I don’t want to pretend too long that it is all good when it isn’t. Plus, by God, at this point I have purchased masks that match my work clothes. So why not? I don’t think that it is over.
