If your not up for reading then good news! One of the Dead poets society robin williams shirt moreover I love this books, The Hogfather, was made into a movie. Its fantastic story of death saving Christmas. If you talk to him in the game before he disappears you can befriend him, and he’ll even show up to events after that. Same with Santa Claus. It’s always great to have Death as a sympathetic psychopomp. My favorite example is in the Twilight Zone episode “Nothing in the Dark”. There’s an SCP like that. A man in a suit, smoking, will sit by the deathbed of a dying man whose alone and offers them a cigarette. You can accept or refuse. Then he just sits with you until you die. There’s a lot of good recommendations here, but also look up a book (not the movie) called The Book Thief. Death is the narrator and they’re very much like this, someone doing a lonely job that has to be done. Today, my beloved 10 year old yellow lab was diagnosed with an aggressive form of terminal cancer. He doesn’t have long to live. I had finally stopped crying, decided to hop on Reddit for awhile, and this was the first thing I saw… I’m back to bawling my eyes out. My dog of 16 years was euthanized last week, I know what you’re going through. Take this time to hug and kiss your dog as much as you can. Tell him how happy he made you, how much he made you smile and laugh. Kiss your dog until you’re both content. Make time to sit with him and love on him. At night let him sleep next to you. Give him as much as you can so that when his day comes, you know you didn’t leave anything unsaid or anything undone. Don’t let shock or sadness keep you from enjoying the remaining time you have with him. I did all of these things and despite the fact that I was a complete wreck after he was euthanized, I know in my heart I made it clear to him how much he meant to me that I am a better human being after having his love.

If you can afford it or access it, arrange for him to be euthanized at home. If not, please be in the Dead poets society robin williams shirt moreover I love this room with him when it happens and give him a proper send off across the rainbow bridge. Don’t leave him alone with strangers in a room he doesn’t recognize. You, the person he loves, should be the last thing he sees. My 10 year old husky died a couple months ago from cancer too. It really does suck. Gotta keep remembering the good times though. Sorry for your loss Same for my 10 year old American bully last November. She had lots of bumps on her skin (even one gigantic jiggly one at the base of her tail) which were all low-grade cancer but she didn’t let that stop her and still played fetch 24-7. Then around Halloween she wasn’t eating as much, and a couple days later we took her to the vet and she had a coconut-sized tumor wrapped around her windpipe, slowly suffocating her. We got one good day to say goodbye where she played with her favorite red ball at the dog park and got to play fetch and have a last walk with her son (8 years old, bonded pair). We took her home to snuggle before our vet appointment and thought she might pass them but she’s too stubborn. When we took her to the appointment only 24 hours later, the tumor was cantaloupe and everyone knew it was time. Only had her a year and nine months but shit did she leave a mark.
