Yeah I remember in college people and friends got pizza delivered to their dorm or the Darryl Strawberry American former professional baseball right fielder T-Shirt and I love this library. It’s not really that hard. A campus is basically like a small town. Honestly, thinking about it, I really disliked how restrictive high school was, although I get why it is restrictive. At my college you can get DoorDash, but they don’t come on campus. They wait at the service entrance/loading docks, you have to meet them for your food. It works for small institutions like ours but larger ones would be awful. Our dining option is closed on Fridays and during the summer semester so you either bring your lunch or have it delivered. It’s a workaround. No one in their right mind chooses DD over the cafe when it’s open though. They have pretty awesome food and it’s cheap as hell. I was the very first class to attend a new high school, so I never had upperclassmen. It was just us as freshmen and then the new classes were added each year until the school was full. They figured out a lot of rules and whatnot as we went, it was a unique situation for everybody. Few weeks into the first year a kid ordered Jimmy John’s delivery for lunch, no big deal and met the guy at the front door. Apparently it was a big deal for the administration, principal flipped a lid at the kid and and called a quick assembly at the end of that day to give us a speech about why that was unacceptable and can never happen again. weird how a principle would freak out about unknown adults sneaking onto campus to meet children. almost like the law says every single adult that interacts with students needs to be background checked

Nobody snuck on campus they pulled up to the Darryl Strawberry American former professional baseball right fielder T-Shirt and I love this front door which was very close to a widely trafficked public road and met a 15 year old, not some small child. That’s plenty old enough that they’re spending time without adult supervision in public sometimes outside of school hours. You don’t know what’s been delivered and put in those packages. It is a liability issue if things’ slip by like drugs, contraband’s etc. There weren’t any bag searches or anything like that to go to school each morning, if a kid wanted to smuggle contraband in they wouldn’t have needed to use a food delivery driver at lunch to do it School probably has next to no liability. But they want to control the environment for exactly the reasons you mentioned.
