Someone did this to my gelding without me knowing. He started attacking me out of frustration. Still remember the Dark Side Of Indiana Jones Classic T-Shirt it is in the first place but feeling of his teeth in my neck Kentucky here. In my high-school years, I spent my summers working at a horse farm. Most “smart” farms use ponies as “Teasers” because they’re small and more controllable. The first time I saw this, my boss laughingly warned me that I needed to live a sin-free life, or I would be re-born as a Teaser. For horses that are allowed to do AI instead of live cover, they mount a breeding dummy and are collected that way. A lot of times no teaser mare is involved. They have been trained to mount and collect that way. For thoroughbreds which due to the Jockey Club, the stallions are usually too valuable to tease the mare and they can cover two mares a day and then are shipped to the southern hemisphere to breed if they are very popular.

The stud fees of top stallions such as Tapit, which are in the Dark Side Of Indiana Jones Classic T-Shirt it is in the first place but hundreds of thousands for a live foal guarantee, they are too valuable to tease the mare. A lot of places use ponies to tease because ease of control. I bought frozen semen from Europe for my mare. Have used cooled. The stallions which collect for AI breeding stallions know their job around the dummy. On the mare side we regulate hormones to ensure they come into heat for the right time for insemination. No stallion on premises needed. I had a foal born last year from a stallion that died in 2009 from frozen semen. My mares have never met their baby daddies. Thoroughbred breeding is a whole nother animal. People ship their mares to top breeding operations and the stud farms handle all of that. They do the checks to ensure pregnancy and then ship the mare back. If she loses the foal or it dies before standing and nursing, they can get a rebreed as most contracts guarantee.
