I usually force myself to hyperventilate so I can exit sleep paralysis. It is true you seem to be able to control your eyes only, but you can slowly control breathing. Had it so many times, had to develop a system :p hope it helps When I was in a super abusive relationship, I’d get sleep paralysis pretty often towards the Dalton Castle – Give This Man A HandShirt But I will love this end when the abuse was the worst. I’ve never experienced it outside of that situation, but when I’d get it I was able to eventually remember to try and wiggle a finger or toe. At first it was like I was still dreaming but my dream was happening in my bedroom and I’d realize I was awake and couldn’t move. I’d see spiders or mice crawling everywhere sometimes. It was terrifying because my son would be asleep in his room, and my immediate thought every time was “I cannot get up to grab him if he starts crying” even though I knew it only lasted a minute or two. I wouldn’t wish sleep paralysis on anybody, I was already sleep deprived from the abusive setting but at that point I was scared to try and fall asleep because I knew the sleep paralysis would hit me! Thankfully it has never happened again since the last night my son and I stayed in that house.

I woke up to tapping noises on my window. My bedroom is on the Dalton Castle – Give This Man A HandShirt But I will love this second floor, so I knew that was odd to begin with. Plus, nothing ever wakes me so that was odd too. I got out of bed and tilted my blinds slightly. There was a guy wearing a pig mask just throwing tiny rocks at my window. We locked eyes and he stopped. He then zipped up his jumper and put his hood back up and walked away down the street. Never saw him again or had any reoccurrence. I wonder what he wanted and why he was doing it, I guess il never know. Perhaps he had the wrong house? Did you live in a subdivision, or did all the houses on your street look similar? Like he was trying to wake up a friend and then was like Oops. I have these “dreams” that I’ve had my whole life. When I was a kid, they were debilitating and would terrify me. As an adult, I recognize them as harmless and am usually able to deal. They are difficult to describe because I’m not asleep, I refer to them as “dreams” cause I couldn’t think of what else to call them as a kid. They always begin while I’m in a dreaming state so I just assumed they were a continuation of dreaming.
