If this rich bloke showed up at my doorstep knowing that we were starving and dehydrated, said he will give us water if we consent on letting him film to make a million bucks, I would be fucking pissed but would have to do it to be able to drink water. This guy only fools children and smoothbrains. This dude isn’t doing charity. He isn’t even breaking even. While, not everyone in Africa is poor (it is around 1/2 though it fluctuates), that is certainly not enough to fly out the machinery and labour to all of Africa, let alone the whole world. Also, just having wells, is not going to fix poverty 100 % by itself. So, all in all, super rich people just have very different opinions of what to spend their money on that the stuff Mr Beast is doing. No idea if that is the popular opinion on where charity should go or not. Also, in general, with the topic of super rich/rich people generosity, it seems rich people are okay with giving money, just not to poor people. The organisations that support poor people don’t seem to have the same aversion from super rich people in charity giving. They don’t want to. They don’t want to actually solve problems they just want to do things that fuel their ego and make them more money
