IMO, I’d just pay extra for a seat that’s a bit away from the bunch and have a thick skin about being treated differently. BA, French, Cathay and at times, Lufthansa are known to be snobbish towards our passports. Goes with the territory sadly. Name and shame them on Twitter. Same happens with Emirates and Qatar Airways. Also they are alloting their older aircrafts for flights to_fro India. I’d say this happens both ways. Which was a nice gesture by whoever assigns the seats, but I offered it to a mom with small kid, since I wasn’t planning on looking out the window and she looked like she needed that extra space.
