Well after giving up Starbucks, I paid my house off in just a few months. I don’t care for avocados, but if I had those to give up as well there’s no telling where I’d be… We make it week to week basically, iv been poor most of my adult life so iv adapted by only ever having one meal a day to save money. I don’t go out or have friends, iv never paid for movies or music or videogames. One bad month and I could easily be homeless It’s awful out there. My youngest son lives in a Basement apartment that is severely lacking. He wants to be independent and get out from under the Dak Prescott Signature American football quarterback Dallas Verticals T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this debt he incurred. I’m a restaurant manager. I struggle myself, but all of the associates at my store who are over college age are definitely struggling to pay bills. Everyone (including myself and I make more than some) either have roommates, live with parents, live with a partner, have more than one job, or combinations of these.

You do what you have to I guess but none of us are really comfortable and I’d guess most all live check to check. I’m a divorced 42M with no kids. I live with a roommate. I never buy anything nice for myself. I never go out. It’s cheaper to read books and stream shit than go out on the Dak Prescott Signature American football quarterback Dallas Verticals T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this weekends. I can’t land a date so I don’t blow money on other people. Does like suck? Sure. Is it pathetic? Fuck yes. But goddamn it, that’s what it means to be an American these days! Completely useless thing to say to the majority of ppl who already do that, ignoring the fact that “living beyond your means” is vague and next to meaningless and shallow to say to someone. And regarding people who simply pay for rent, transportation (public or car), food to cook at home, and utilities and those basic necessities that we all need to survive in 2023? Those people aren’t living “beyond their means”, they are living a basic life. Basically stay at home, do things more at home, barter with people as well as borrow things from neighbors and let them borrow things would have been better explained by his context
