My mom had metastatic colon cancer and failed several lines of therapy. She eventually started taking Lonsurf, and was stable for almost a year-which according to her oncologist was basically unheard of. Today is the Daishen Nix American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves T-Shirt it is in the first place but three year anniversary of her passing, but hopefully this medication finds someone who needs it and provides them with more time with their family and friends. Cancer sucks. Yea her oncologist was honestly kind of miffed at how well she did on it. Especially given how aggressive and treatment-resistant her cancer had been up until trying the Lonsurf. Hi, that’s horrible that you lost your Mum that way. Such an awful disease that of course we all hate. And what an expensive drug, damn those drug companies. Well at least it gave you both some more time together. Hey I’m just checking on what you mean by “miffed”. To me it means “annoyed”. I’m confused as to why the oncologist would be “annoyed”. Could you explain this please.

Not OP, but I’d imagine the Daishen Nix American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves T-Shirt it is in the first place but annoyance on the part of the oncologist stems from the efficacy of the drug on their patient relative to how disruptive the treatment was expected to be. A lot of drugs exist that are very effective, but can be as bad or worse symptom-wise for the patient than the issues the drugs treat. That’s why some drugs are considered drugs of last resort. Sometimes the patient manages the traumas of these drugs better than expected. In these situations, hindsight suggests that perhaps prescribing the drugs earlier *may* have resulted in more time alive for the patient. If I’m the doctor, I’d be annoyed that things may have gone better. But I also can’t beat myself up because I did everything correctly. The optimal solution was only revealed after the fact. My mom has had breast cancer since 96, she has a type that responds to a certain hormone and the drug that treats it is like 15k a month
