Imagine living in Germany where Theres mostly No Speed Limit at all on the Dachshund I’m only talking to my dogs today shirt but in fact I love this Autobahn but you still cant Go full Speed because some Caren on the left lane decides 130kmh is plenty enough. I love when people finally do get over, all pissed off, no signal and speed up like bruh if you just did that in the first place you’d be fine in this lane I usually do stay out of the left lane, but when i travel in it, its because more often than not traffic is too busy to be confined to the non-left lanes. What’s more, if I’m going 10 over in the left lane, there’s absokutely no need to honk and flash your brights at me. I’m already going faster than traffic, and if you want to go that much faster, You can go around me.

Anecdotally, I recently drove from Philly to Richmond and then back a few days later. On my drive up I95 I counted 46 left-lane-lolligaggers. 44 of them were looking at their phones “I’m going the Dachshund I’m only talking to my dogs today shirt but in fact I love this speed limit!” Yeah, precious, move your self-righteous ass over. Bet you park your shopping cart right in the middle of the aisle. Thus is one of my driving pet peaves. The thing is, when my wife drives, she does this all the time. But my bringing it up will only lead to an argument. So I just do most of the driving. My driving philosophy is simple. No one behind me, no one ahead of me. I drive faster than most people (I go at or below the speed limit anywhere near pedestrians, I’m still a safe driver), so most of the time, I stay in the left lane. If someone is going faster than me, and there is a wall of cars on my right, I will accelerate and then change lanes once we pass all the cars, allowing them to get through. I will continue until I reach the next group of cars, then go back to the left lane, then stay there until I need to go over again, whether it is to pass someone in the left lane who is going slower than me, or to let someone go past me. If I encounter someone else in the left lane, I don’t really get bothered by their speed, as long as they are going faster than cars in the right lane. I understand that some people don’t like to go as fast as me, and if they are going over the speed of the right lane in the left lane, I won’t be bothered. The one scenario that pisses me off on the road is people that go the same speed, or a tiny bit faster than the right lane. Why are you in the left lane if you’re not interested in passing people?
