It went a bit too far as when he got a job at the pub I worked at it was as Tommy jingles. Tommy jingles paid all his tax properly, but my friend did not. HMRC were cross. He moved to London and had a new flatmate who worked in a prison, so he had to be vetted, and declare it as an alias. Same thing as when he emigrated to America. For a very silly thing, it had surprisingly far reaching consequences. “Capes” because she wore a pair of high heels to work once that made her clomp down the office like Geoff Capes.

Just spouting nonsense opinions as if they were fact, and we’d either roll our eyes or if it was really stupid we’d confront him. One day Chris just snapped, looked at him and said “do you know what? From now on I’m gunna call you 70 because 70% of what comes out your mouth is bullshit”, and it GENUINELY stuck
